The engine model is equipped with two slide valves which are  operated  by separate eccentrics  showing the  double expansion plates of the  Mayer engine fitted  on a threaded  spindle  and can be simultaneously brought closer and farther away from each other. All parts are of cast Aluminium and fitted on well polished vertical wooden board.
