Full Specification ( Gear Pump Test Rig ):
The Test rig consists of a gear pump provided with single phase motor. The pump is provided with a vacuum gauge at suction and a pressure gauge on discharge pipe. Gate valve at discharge which facilitates estimation of pump performance at various discharge heads. Power input to motor is measured with energy meter.
SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Gear Pump connected to a proper rating motor (approx).
2. Sump Tank of sufficient capacity.
3. Measuring Tank to measure the discharge of oil.
4. Energymeter for motor input measurement.
5. Pressure & vacuum gauge for measurement of head.
6. Stop clock.
7. The assembly of pump and controls are mounted on the sump tank.
8. Oil of marked viscosity (SAE - 30) - 30 Liters.
SERVICES REQUIRED:
1. 440V, 1 SA, A three phase AC electric supply with earthing connection.
2. Floor space of 2m X 2m.
