Notches are used to find out flow of the liquid flowing across the notch section. The equipment consists of "V" notch and rectangular notch which can be fitted intermittently at the end of the now channel. Water is circulated by the pump from the sump tank to the flow channel at the end of which notch is . Measuring tank is mounted on the sump tank to measure the flow.

[3) Sump tank and measuring tank; a Calibrated Water Flow Meter.
